Advances in techniques now mean there are many ways to improve your smile. These can include whitening of your teeth, replacement of silver fillings with tooth coloured restorations or crowns or veneers to alter the appearance of your teeth. If you are interested in any cosmetic treatment why not discuss what can be achieved for you with your dentist who can arrange a cosmetic consultation.

Tooth Whitening

If you are not happy with the colour of your teeth and feel they are not as bright as they used to be then you could benefit from tooth whitening. After a dental examination trays are made in which you wear gel for an hour or so for up to two weeks. This lightens your teeth and gives the appearance of your teeth a great boost. Ask your dentist for details. Superficial staining can be removed with our Air Abrasion treatment.

Crowns

Crowns are available in a wide range of materials. Crowns can be made of all ceramic or a combination of metal and ceramic. The materials available now can combine the best aspects to produce strength without compromising on the appearance. We can provide crowns made with the Empress, Procera, Duceragold, Captek and Inceram systems among others.

Veneers

Veneers are thin layers of ceramic that are bonded to the surface of teeth. They allow the colour shape and position of teeth to be altered. They have the advantage that less tooth preparation is required than for a crown. We can provide veneers made using specialist systems such as Empress.

Tooth Coloured Inlays and Fillings

Silver amalgam fillings can in many cases be replaced with white fillings or inlays. The precise material that is best for your tooth can be discussed with your dentist.
